Photos of Waconia

There are two nice photos -one of the show field and one of vintage ride with Hus-Skis and Diablo Rouges in the new issue of VSCA Vintage Snowmobile Magazine. Pretty neat to see all them going strong!

In the picture of the Diablos and Hus Skis lined up (below), those are Mike N's 444 and his 503. The 500 and 502 are mine. There are a few more down the line owned by a few others. The one with the hood up is Pete S from Brillion, Wiscosin and Pete is standing there talking with Bob F from Cleveland, Ohio.

From memory in the ride picture, Dave and Renee P from Horicon, Wisconsin are on there 502. Harvey and Mary D from Buffalo, Minnesota are on their "Best of Show" 600. There are others too, but without seeing the picture again, can't remember who they were.

Waconia was a great time. Time to start thinking about where to meet next year.

That is so cool! You know all the people there and their sleds. No suprise! Only wish we lived closer. But as I recall we had WAY MORE snow than there! The vintage ride had a picture with the 200 Hus-Ski in the front most position. Hmmmm. Mabe some year we can meet at the NH Museum? I realise most of the rolling stock is out that way. Also, just a reminder, anyone planning on crossing US/ CA boarder needs a passport which takes up to 8 weeks to get! Plan ahead now as it is a ever changing world! Peace out! :D

Hey devil dog,

Did you ever get your 503 delivered from Engadine?

I just picked up a 503 this morning. All original and in very good shape. Owner had it for 28 years and other than starting it up once in a while, never once drove it because of some busted cleats. This 503 will be gone over and readied for the snow. Should be available for sale in about a month.

If anyone is interested in an original (not restored) Diablo 503 which will be in very good condition and trail ready, contact me via email and we can discuss.

Hey! How come no one told me a HUS-SKI took best of show???

I don't know why, but seeing all those machines in one spot, makes the adrenaline start to flow. An awful not of red paint though. Looks a bit like my shop right now.

Barrie, You must not be keeping up with the "News" page!

The Waconia write up is there with pictures. There were more Hus Skis there than in this picture. It just happens to be a picture of where we had the Diablo lined up.

It was fun.
