Bolens Diablo Rouge and Hus Ski Discussion Forums

Hi all,

During our 2010 Workshop, Dave and Renee Peterson brought along a 1978 Wisconsin Snowmobile News publication called "The Hummer". Within the paper was a full page article about Hus-Skis and Diablos.

For your enjoyment, I've put the article on the "News" tab of the website. When you get a chance, its good and fun reading.

However, there are a few discrepancies in the journalistic viewpoint. Did you catch them?

Did you notice the windshield on the Diablo 500?

Recently, Bill from Stone Lake, Wisconsin sent me a picture of him in his younger years on his brand new Diablo 500. Guess what? It had a windshield too.

Then earlier this spring, Dave from Cedar, Minnesota brought me an original windshield bracket off a 500. It certainly looks factory made.

Proof that the often thought of as fictitious windshield on a Diablo is for REAL!

There are a few other curious comments in the article. Did you all catch those?

If my memory servies me right, which it usually doesn't, when I aquired the paper from a older friend he said something to the extent of "I know you've got some of these weird snowmobiles, I thought you'd like this article."
I'm not sure if he was refering to the Diablo's or another article in the paper
